Benjamyn Bird

I graduated from Arts University Bournemouth in 2020 with a Master’s degree in film production, specialising in Production Design. I then worked steadily as Art Department Assistant within the Art Departments for ITV’s Grantchester, BBC’s Killing Eve and Netflix drama Obsession. In these roles I undertook a lot of draughting for smaller construction elements on location; plugs, cover ups and location enhancements. I was also responsible for managing these locations and overseeing construction on the instalments. In my role as Assitant Art Director on Better Man (UK Shoot) I was draughting for all the construction elements, many of which were large scale covers and plugs for shop fronts on London’s Regent Street. I now know that my skills and aspirations lie in Art Direction, which I am now pursuing in my next roles.
