Mark Scruton

PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Mark Scruton is a Production Designer with over twenty years experience in the industry. He is best known for his role as a Supervising Art Director on the Oscar winning space thriller Gravity which received Oscar and BAFTA nominations, with the art department winning the Art Directors Guild Award for Excellence in Production Design.

Mark graduated from Bournemouth Film School after which he worked on pop promos for Blur, Coldplay, Sting and Rod Stewart amongst others, as well as numerous commercials. He art directed and designed on commercials including US campaigns for director Colin Gregg on brands such as Ikea, Vodafone, Nike, Citroen, Honda and Weetabix.

Mark’s film career was launched in 1997 when he worked in the art department on Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. From here he worked on films including Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One and Paul Greengrass’s Jason Bourne.
