Mark Scruton
Mark Scruton is an Emmy-winning Production Designer with over 25 years of experience in film, television and commercial production. Known for his thoughtful and visually distinctive work across a wide range of genres, he is perhaps best known for his collaborations with Tim Burton - most notably on the Netflix series Wednesday, which earned him an Emmy Award, the British Film Designers Guild Award for Best Production Design, the SDSA Award for Décor & Design, and a nomination from the Art Directors Guild. Mark has worked across Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of Wednesday, continuing his role in shaping the series’ iconic visual identity. He also served as Production Designer on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Burton’s long-anticipated sequel to the 1988 cult classic.
Earlier in his career, Mark built a strong foundation as a Supervising Art Director on major productions, including Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity—which won multiple Academy Awards® and earned him an Art Directors Guild Award—and Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One, which received nominations from both the Art Directors Guild and the British Film Designers Guild.
He has also worked extensively as an Art Director across both film and television, with credits including No Time to Die. His broader body of work includes a wide range of commercials and music videos, reflecting a career marked by versatility, creativity, and a deep understanding of visual storytelling.
