Daniel Kaluuya makes his directorial debut with dystopian drama ‘The Kitchen’, which is set to premiere at the upcoming BFI London Film Festival’s closing gala ahead of its official release on Netflix later this year. Co-Directed alongside Kibwe Tavares and crewed with Standby Art Director Louis Glickman, the futuristic thriller has been described by Kaluuya as an ode to London. Set in 2044 where the gap between rich and poor has been stretched beyond recognition, with social housing a thing of the past, all that remains is an unflinching community who refuse to back down when the odds are stacked against them.
