Since 2019, Shakeelah has been bringing stories to life through texture, space, and detail. Working across features, television, commercials, and short films, she has built a strong foundation in the art and props departments, contributing to a wide range of productions with a hands-on, imaginative approach. As an Art & Props Assistant, she finds joy in the practical craft of storytelling – whether sourcing the perfect prop, hand-painting set pieces, or transforming blank spaces into layered, lived-in environments. Her work is driven by a deep love for visual narrative and the belief that every object on screen carries meaning. This intuitive, detail-focused sensibility has also led her to take on roles as Art Director and Production Designer on smaller-scale and independent projects, where she thrives on creative problem-solving and collaboration. What sets Shakeelah apart is her ability to blend practical skill with emotional insight, creating grounded, textured worlds. Whether sourcing props, dressing sets, or managing design documents, she brings calm focus and a collaborative spirit to every stage of production.

Beyond the production world, Shakeelah is passionate about equity and representation in film and television. She actively mentors early-career creatives, regularly speaking on educational panels and contributing her voice to initiatives aimed at making the industry more inclusive and accessible to all.
