Asya Peker

After completing my Part 1 in Architecture at the Bartlett, UCL, I cold-called my way into film, focusing on the intersection of fashion, music, and spatial design.

I began by assisting, 3D modelling, and assistant art directing for clients including Adidas, Google, Caroline Polachek, Charlotte Tilbury, H&M and others, before moving into props buying, art direction, and set decoration for commercial and narrative projects with brands such as Argos, Graff, Guinness, M&S and more.

As a production designer, I have revelled in narrative-led projects; creating rich and full sets that explore and expand the world of a story. I have a huge love for the process of building a world for a character to occupy, whether that’s a socially realistic house, a colourful grungy bedroom or a surreal architectural landscape.

What I value most is the collaborative nature of filmmaking—the collective effort, and the people who make even the toughest projects rewarding, humorous, and ultimately joyful.
