Clare Conway

Clare graduated from University of Westminster with a degree in Film, where she frequently worked as a Production Designer on student projects. Alongside continuing art department work in short form projects, she entered the industry through the AD department, working as a Floor Runner, Set PA, and 3rd AD on productions including After Life Series 3 and Toast of Tinseltown. These roles strengthened her communication, problem-solving, and on-set organisational skills, while confirming her passion for working in production.
She is now making the full transition into the art department, most recently working as Standby Art Director on the independent feature film A Rare Breed (Production Designer: Simon Walker). In this role, she completed script breakdowns, liaised closely with crew, sourced props, and developed creative on-set solutions.
Clare is particularly interested in progressing towards Standby Art Direction, combining her strong on-set AD background with her creative interests in production design. She has a particular passion for period styling and creating rich, accurate worlds through set dressing and graphic design, especially inspired by the 1960s, 1970s, and Victorian era.
