Having worked in the Film & TV industry for over twenty years, Phil’s career began after graduating from Central St Martins College in Art & Design, with a BA Hons in Theatre Design. Initially designing for Theatre, Phil was nominated as a finalist for the Linbury Prize, winning the opportunity to design Marisol at the Harrogate Theatre, however upon graduation he gravitated to the source of his creative inspiration – MOVIES.

Since, Phil has Art Directed on huge, wildly creative, world building blockbuster films, which has provided a skilled and open approach to design and a recognition that every film of any size needs a visually engaging world to tell its story – whether modern day, period, sci-fi or fantasy.
