Toni Child

With a life-long interest in the potential to create stories through the careful curation of things, Toni has had a very varied background and range of interests that have all been incredibly useful in her Set Decoration career thus far.

As a Graduate in Design from Goldsmiths College, she gained a solid grounding in design skills that have proved invaluable while working in Set Decoration; from visual research and referencing, concept design and three dimensional design skills. Following graduation, she then moved into prop-making for window-dressing then antique dealing and then finally found her natural habitat within the Art Department with people who are as equally obsessed with the world of object narrative.

Following several years of working on a wide variety of productions, she now has the experience and confidence to take on large-scale and intricate sets as the main Set Dec lead, whilst very successfully working in tandem with Costume, Graphics & Props teams. Collaboration and creativity are her passions; along with the layering of colour, texture and detail into her set dressing.
